Research Into Choreography

Whilst we were researching into choreography we found that most of the girlbands that we were trying to idolise dressed in tight skimp outfits and danced provocativley. This i feel is because "sex sells". For example in this video they are all dancing provocotivley and following the theme of sex sells.

When i was researching into The Pussycat Dolls i found that in all of their videos there was a part where they were all walking forward together in kind of a march, i feel as though this showed power within the female sex. From a femanists point of view they would say that this would be derogatry and would make them look like meat or just sex symbols to men. However i feel as thought the skimpy outfits and the provocotive dancing makes them look as though they are in control and the male viewers of the video can "look but not touch".

Also like the Pussycat Dolls, Girlicious also dress provocativley and dance as if they are also following the theme that "sex sells". Also throughout this video at some point in the video each member of the girl band takes off an item of clothing at some point in the video.
We found from researching into the girl bands that both Pussycat Dolls and Girlicious that both of the bands at some point use a ballet bar. We decided that we were going to use this as we wanted to follow the conventions that other Girl bands use to make our music video look professional.

This is a picture of the bar that we are going to use so that we follow the conventions of other girl bands.
